Why hire purchase works for German rental operations

A fleet is used for one season but paid for up front. Hire purchase spreads the investment across the term while the equipment earns revenue from the first operating day. At the end of the term the fleet becomes your property and can stay in service, become a second fleet or be sold. How hire purchase affects your accounts and taxes is a question for your tax adviser – we supply the asset and contract data.

How Germany differs from Austria and Switzerland

Our offer differs by country. Germany is hire purchase, Switzerland is leasing, Austria offers both. For groups with sites in several countries the fleet can be financed everywhere, but the contract model follows the location. The calculator sets the model automatically for the country you select.

Fleet sizes and net asset values

Rental stations should plan by peak occupancy rather than season average, hotels by beds with actively offered rental, ski schools by course places in the strongest week. As a planning figure we use one unit per four to six beds plus five to ten percent reserve for repairs and downtime. A unit is one pair of skis or one snowboard.

• 50 units (30 pairs of skis, 20 boards, 20 boots, 20 bindings): around EUR 24,140 net

Custom designs instead of anonymous rental stock

We develop and produce skis and snowboards ourselves. Topsheets can carry your rental, hotel or ski school branding, multiple sites can be separated visually and fleet segments distinguished by category. Custom designs need lead time – sample approval and production belong in spring or summer, not autumn.
